All Leave of Absence requests begin with a request in MyU*

The central Office of Human Resources (OHR) Leave Administration Team administers leaves for all employee groups. You can find more information about leaves of absence on the OHR Website. There are specific instructions for submitting a request for a leave.

Submit your request for all types of Leave via MyU.

*Academic Leaves such as Sabbaticals and Single Semester Leaves (SSLs) are initiated by Faculty and involve the EVCAA as well as UMD HR and UMD Finance - please reach out to your Dean or the EVCAA for questions or to get more information on these leaves.

If you have documents to fax to the OHR Leave Administration Team, you can fax them to 952-232-4915.
